Fecal Leukocytes and Lactoferrin testing are manual, low volume tests with no significant clinical utility that require expedient transport and processing. they are no longer included in guidelines for the diagnosis and management of patients with acute diarrhea, nor in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel conditions. Calprotectin can still be ordered.
