Test Code CY009 Cytology, Liquid-Based Pap Test
Methodology
Testing Algorithm:
If liquid-based Pap result is cytological diagnosis of atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US), #83344 Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Detection-High Risk Types will be performed, at an additional charge.
Note: 1. Screening refers to routine Pap smear. Diagnostic refers to patients with histories of abnormal Paps, clinical findings suggestive of cervical abnormalities, or patients at high-risk for developing cervical dysplasia.
2. Barnes-Jewish Hospital offers ThinPrep Pap test and SurePath Pap test.

1. Label vial with patient’s first and last name, date of birth, and date of collection.
