Type: Container/Tube:  Mint green (LiHep) tube (preferred),  SST (gold or marble)  or plain red top

Specimen Volume: 2 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume:  1 mL of plasma

 

Collection Instructions: Deliver to lab immediately.

Lab instructions:

  • Allow serum specimen to clot completely at room temperature before centrifuging. 
  • Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP
