Reference Values

Ratio of pleural to serum LD ≥ 0.6 is indicative of exudate and <0.6 of transudates.

Ratio of peritoneal to serum LD ≥ 0.6 is indicative of exudate and <0.6 of transudates.

Ratio of pericardial to serum LD ≥ 0.6 is indicative of exudates and transudates <0.6.
