Specimen Requirement (s)

Specimen Type: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). 

Container/Tube:  CSF - sterile collection tube.  No anticoagulant should be used with CSF.

Specimen Volume:    2 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 1 mL 

 

Collection Instructions: Deliver to lab as soon as possible. Please indicate which tube to use for the cell count. If no indication is made, tube #3 will be used.
