Interpretive Data

  • Pleural - Triglycerides >110 mg/dL is indicative of chylothorax while triglyceride < 50 mg/dL rules out chylothorax.
  • Peritoneal - Triglycerides > 200 mg/dL is indicative of chylous ascites.
