Collection requirements for Troponin T High-Sensitivity Series
2hr - Collected > 90 mintues and no more than 180 mintues from baseline draw,
4hr - Collected > 180 (3 hours) and no more than 300 mintues (5 hours) from baseline draw,
6hr - Collected > 300 ( 5 hours) and no more than 420 mintues (7 hours) from baseline draw.
Lipid Reflex Criteria
- Any 2hr, 4hr or 6hr delta Trop T hs < -19 ng/L
- Any 2hr, 4hr or 6hr pct delta Trop T hs < -19 %
- Any 2hr, 4hr or 6hr delta Trop T hs > 19 ng/L
- Any 2hr, 4hr or 6hr pct delta Trop T hs > 19%
- Patient > 18 years old
- Within 14 days on the current encounter

Interpretive Data
Mega doses of Biotin (greater than 100 to 300 mg/day) may intefere with some troponin assays causing them to have a false low result. Please contact the laboratory for further information if this is a concern.
